Facebook rolled out an update on Thursday to its celebrity-focused Mentions app, making it easier for high-profile users to interact with fans.
In addition to sharing on Facebook, Mentions users can now add other people — including bandmates, teammates or colleagues — and hashtags to status updates, as well as share updates to Twitter and Instagram from inside the app.
Facebook introduced the Mentions app last July as a way for public figures, such as actors, musicians and athletes, to keep track of what fans are saying about them on the social network.
