Dear new CEO of Twitter,
Congratulations on your ascension to one of the most high-pressure and contentious jobs in tech. If you're reading this, it means you made it through the gauntlet of three former CEOs and Twitter board members with a history of butting heads — Ev Williams, your predecessor Dick Costolo, and your interim predecessor Jack Dorsey. (It also means you were impressive enough to prevent Dorsey pulling a Steve Jobs by making his interim title permanent.)
You have also run the gauntlet, and will no doubt continue to run the gauntlet, of well-intentioned and passionate Twitter-using big shots telling you how to fix Twitter.
