Amazon has finally sold the last of its Fire phone inventory—and it's unlikely that another iteration is in the works.
Last month, the Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon had let go of a number of engineers who worked on the Fire phone, the company's ill-fated attempt at creating a smartphone. According to GeekWire, Amazon has now sold out of its entire stock of Fire phones—and judging by the recent job cuts, the failed device is probably not making a comeback.
