LinkedIn Wants To Syndicate Content From Top Influencers

The professional social network hopes to spread its most popular content (and LinkedIn branding).

LinkedIn's most popular posts are often penned by its "Influencers," who are usually notable entrepreneurs and public figures—and, in some cases, their ghostwriters. That content has thus far been republished to digital outlets manually, on a case-by-case basis, but LinkedIn's latest idea is to move those posts past the confines of its site in a more official capacity. According to Re/code, the professional networking service is looking to syndicate content from Influencers to other sites around the world.

SoulCycle Files For IPO

The high-end indoor cycling chain did not reveal how many shares it plans to sell, though it plans on raising $100 million.

SoulCycle, the fitness chain known for its highly produced indoor cycling classes, has filed for an initial public offering, Reuters reports. The company's filing did not include information about the number of shares for sale or their expected price, though it tentatively plans on raising $100 million.

Facebook Rakes In $4 Billion, Thanks To Our Smartphone Addiction

The social network's 39% increase in revenue last quarter was largely driven by mobile.

Facebook held its second-quarter earnings call Wednesday afternoon, and mobile continues to be a huge focus for the social networking giant. For the first time, Facebook broke $4 billion in quarterly revenue. Of that, $3.8 billion came from advertising revenue specifically, with an ever-growing number of those ad impressions and clicks happening on our smartphones.

Microsoft users upgrading to Windows 10 will get an extra bonus: a Twitter app that doesn't suck.

Twitter rolled out a new universal Windows app Wednesday that finally brings the Twitter experience on Windows up to the same level as its apps on other platforms.

Other than the addition of a Twitter Live Tile, most of the updates already exist within Twitter's website and its other apps. The new Windows app finally adds support for multiple photos in tweets and the ability to watch GIFs, Vines and other videos from your timeline.
